Focus areas
The work of the Centre for Learning Innovation (CLI) stretches across a broad range of key areas.
Strategic partnerships are formed with industry, cultural institutions and other educational institutions to support CLI's program of innovation in teaching and learning.
Our expertise in learning design supports teachers and learners throughout NSW DET through the production of high quality learning resources.
CLI has developed innovative publishing systems and tools that make it easy to create and publish resources that can then be shared throughout NSW DET.
CLI's Learning Technology Standards (LTS) team develops standards to be used for developing, discovering and using learning resources.
We also support teaching and learning by directly working with teachers in schools and TAFE to help them integrate and use emerging technologies in their teaching and learning. The Teaching and Learning exchange (TaLe) gives teachers instant access to resources and other information and support.
CLI is also trialling new technologies for learning, testing their feasibility and usefulness and how they may be integrated into teaching and learning environments.
