CLI delivers major NSW Health e-learning program

oval shapes with text Clinical observationsNSW Health recently contracted CLI to produce the learning design framework and web resources for its DETECT e-learning initiative.

The program is aimed at frontline staff across the NSW Health system. It provides resources and training to help doctors and nurses identify and manage deteriorating patients. It is estimated that as many as 70,000 NSW Health staff could be involved.

CLI’s learning design team developed an approach using case studies and simulation, enhanced by expert commentaries and followed up with online quizzes and other interactive activities.

CLI developed all the multimedia elements, including the video and interactive content. CLI’s publishing system CLIPS and its Learning Activity Wizard (LAW) templates were major assets in helping to complete this crucial NSW Health project in a very short timeframe.

Within a few days of launch nearly a thousand NSW Health staff had completed the program.
